하나님이 만드신, 꽃처럼 향기롭고

나무처럼 멋있고

아침 이슬처럼 부드럽고

고요한 바다처럼 침착하고

석양처럼 아름답고

별빛 찬란한 밤의 영혼을 지니고

잔물결 찰랑이는 시냇물 같은 웃음과

하늘을 나는 새와 같은 우아함을 가진 사람,

하느님은 이 모든 것을 모아 

오롯이 새 작품을 만드셨다.

그리고 이 걸작이 완성되었을 때

하나님은 그를 간단히 '어머니'라 불렀다.

God took the fragrance of a flower

The majesty of a tree

The gentleness of morning dew

The calm of a quiet sea

The beauty of the twilight hour

Te soul of a starry night

The laughter of a rippling brook

The grace of a bird in flight

Then God fashioned from these things

A creation like no other,

And when his masterpiece was through

He called it simply-Mother.
